How PurelyModest started, and where it is going

PurelyModest began with a simple frustration: dressing modestly often meant choosing between what fit my values and what actually felt current. I wanted both, and I suspected I was not the only one.

My love for fashion started as a fashion show coordinator, where I fell for dressing up and putting colours together. That backstage energy, the last-minute pinning and steaming, taught me how much confidence a well-cut garment can give someone.

The first orders were packed at home and delivered by hand. That is still the heart of the service: order before 2 pm and we aim to get your parcel to you the same day within our service areas, next day everywhere else.

Alongside the brand I am studying communication and working as a credit controller, and family time keeps me grounded, whether that is cooking, series nights, hikes or beach days.

The goal from here is to grow PurelyModest into a boutique brand stocked in retail stores across South Africa. Dressing up was never just a job for me. It became a passion, and now I get to build a brand around it.
